PRICE DROP!!! Found a new vehicle and I need to move the vehicle out of the driveway so make offer!
2008 MandalorianZombieApocalypseRV conversion.
Self built and finishing our two plus year lap around the country.
Replaced:
Pcm,Tcm,Transmission, kingpins, alternators, exhaust, fuel injectors, headlights, springs (front and rear), tires (still have at least 10,000 miles left),lights, radiator, brake booster, air compressor, check valves, rebalanced drive shaft and replaced rear axle seal, and more.
The Good (or awesome):
75 gallons of INBOARD water
Separating bathroom with 15 gallon 'yellow' tank,
Two ac units,
Ceramic heater
Diesel heater,
3000 watt kisae abso inverter,
Champion 3000 watt dual fuel 'quiet' generator,
600 amps Lithium batteries,
On demand (propane) hot water
Shower,
Sink,
Twin bed drops form ceiling,
Full bed folds up from floor.
Smitty bilt roof adjustable roof rack and focused led driving lights added.
We built it to be able to be cool in the Florida Keys in the summer (success as 103 outside and 83 inside) and sub zero winters in Maine and the Rockies while we ski.
The "yellow" tank, grey tank, and fresh water are all inboard so no worries about freezing or cracking issues.
The batteries are enclosed and a bilge fan runs from the living area to cool or warm them depending on the environment. No failures and frankly the diesel heater is almost too powerful. NO bathroom smell even in the heat.
This vehicle really REALLY succeeded in all that we asked of it. The truck will zoom up more than 11,000 feet fully loaded, sit in traffic in West Texas no problem. My daughter and I just finished three months in Key Largo now. The engine light is on for the number 5 glow plug and it has been like that since we bought it AND...There is NO DPF. The engine has been reprogrammed and the egr tubes blocked off. It came like that and the seller made no mention of it and in VA, vehicles over 10000lbs are exempt from emissions testing. but it blows clean. Also.. the brake light comes on sometimes. Brakes are great, and there is NO CODE for the brake light at all, not in the history or even when we have been fortunate to plug in the appropriate computer when the light is on. The cab AC does not work and never had it diagnosed. We put our home up for sale when we bought it and assumed we would have plenty of time to 'build,' but the house sold immediately but honestly, in all of our travels we did not come across a single RV at any price that could do what ours could do be it length of time off grid, or withstanding extreme temps. It is/was truly a labor of love.
It is parked in Falling Waters West Virginia
