🚌 2004 Blue Bird TC2000 Skoolie — $20,000 OBO
📍 Cantonment / Pensacola, Florida
❤️ Beloved Skoolie Looking for Its Next Adventure
This is a difficult sale for me. This bus has been a huge part of my life and has taken me on some amazing adventures. Unfortunately, I’ve had some health issues this year that I haven’t been able to overcome, and maintaining the bus has become more than I can manage.
Because of that, I’m letting it go for $20,000 OBO. I’m pricing it below what I have invested because I need someone else to take over and give this bus the love it deserves.
PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE LISTING BEFORE MESSAGING ME.
By contacting me to express interest, you are acknowledging that you have read and understand the condition, disclosures, and information provided below.
🚌 THE BUS
• 2004 Blue Bird TC2000
• Cummins 5.9L 24-valve turbo diesel
• Allison 2000 series transmission
• Approximately 27 ft bumper-to-bumper
• Odometer currently reads approximately 30,800 miles
• Actual mileage is estimated at approximately 120,000 miles
⚠️ IMPORTANT MILEAGE DISCLOSURE: The odometer is not accurate. The approximately 120,000-mile estimate is based on the information we were given when we purchased the bus and the mileage we estimate we have driven since then.
☀️ HOUSE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
This bus has a substantial electrical/solar system already installed:
• 1,160W solar
• 2 × 200Ah pure gel batteries wired in series for 24V
• Victron Energy BlueSolar MPPT 100V / 50A charge controller
• Victron 3000W MultiPlus inverter/charger
• 30A shore power connection
• 12V system for lights, water pump, fans, etc.
• 120V outlets throughout
• Breaker box located by the bed
💧 WATER & PLUMBING
• 97-gallon fresh water tank
• Shore water connection
• 97-gallon gray water tank
• Standard RV waste valve
• 60 lb / 12-gallon under-mounted LP tank
• High-end whole-house on-demand water heater
🌡️ HEATING & COOLING
• Pioneer 12,000 BTU mini-split AC
• Built-in heat pump
• 5,000 BTU diesel heater
⚠️ IMPORTANT CONDITION DISCLOSURES
I want to be completely upfront about what the bus needs so there are no surprises for the next owner.
🔋 BATTERIES:
The bus will need new batteries. The current batteries are not in usable condition. The batteries will need to be replaced, or the bus will need to be properly charged/towed before moving it.
❄️ AIR CONDITIONING:
The Pioneer split AC unit has stopped working. In the past, an HVAC technician was able to refill the refrigerant, and that would typically last a few weeks at a time. It will likely need further diagnosis/repair.
🧹 CLEANING:
The bus has been sitting and needs a DEEP clean. Please expect that it will require significant cleaning and TLC.
🛞 TIRES:
The tires were purchased new in 2022, but the bus has been sitting for approximately the last year.
🚜 CURRENT LOCATION / MOVING THE BUS:
Because the bus has been sitting for an extended period, there may be some work and/or assistance required to pull, dig out, or tow it from its current location.
🛠️ AIR SUSPENSION:
The air suspension has a slow, non-critical leak that causes the front end of the bus to lower after it has been turned off for a period of time.
Our solution has been to place two jack stands under the front end whenever the bus will be sitting for an extended period. If we’re only stopping somewhere briefly, such as grocery shopping, we generally don’t bother.
🧱 RUST:
There are areas of rust on the exterior and undercarriage.
🔧 INCLUDED / OTHER DETAILS
• 13mm socket and ratchet for battery terminals
• Breaker box located by the bed
• Large solar/electrical system
• Significant water storage
• Heating and cooling systems
• 5.9 Cummins / Allison drivetrain
💰 PRICE: $20,000 OBO
I’m open to reasonable offers based on the condition and the work needed.
This is not a turnkey, ready-to-drive RV, and I don’t want to waste anyone’s time pretending that it is. It needs someone who is comfortable with a project and willing to put some work into bringing it back to its former glory.
That said, there is a lot here already — including the 5.9 Cummins/Allison drivetrain, Victron electrical system, 1,160W solar, water systems, on-demand water heater, diesel heater, mini-split/heat pump, and the existing conversion.
If you know skoolies, you know that rebuilding all of those systems from scratch can be a significant investment.
❤️ I truly hope this bus finds someone who sees the potential in it and gives it a second life.
Located in Cantonment, FL (Pensacola area).
Serious inquiries are welcome. Please read the entire listing before messaging and feel free to ask questions about anything I’ve disclosed above.
Please do not message simply to ask “Is this available?” If the listing is still posted, it is still available.
